Continuous Strategic Directions Planning
To permit UW libraries to respond quickly and appropriately to a rapidly changing landscape, UW libraries will support continuous planning and monitoring practices. The planning process will correspond with the UW System IT planning cycle. The following provides a framework for that process.
Composition of Planning Group: Library Directors (Madison, Milwaukee, Colleges (1), Comprehensives (2-3)); OLIT/System staff (2-3); CUWL faculty representative (1)
Plan Elements: The plan will be developed for the upcoming biennium, but may include directions which will continue beyond the biennium. The plan will consist of a vision statement, goals and specific actions to accomplish those goals. When possible the plan will specify a time frame for accomplishing the action statements and, as appropriate, designate the individual or group responsible.
